今年を振り返るに、多文化主義の当地から見て胸の痛む宗教テロリズムが世界にはびこった一年でした。
クリスマスでは神の独り子がこの世に生まれた、としてお祝いを行います。神の愛の表れである、と言われますが、我々の愛には自己愛、偏愛、渇愛などなかなか一筋縄ではいかないものが多々あります。新年を迎える前に、自分が独善に陥っていないか反省する機会としたいと思います。
サッカー・アジア・カップから始まった本年、古本市、学校の授業、運動会、お祭り、サポートリンク・セミナー、コーラス、ゴルフなどの同好会の集まり、シニア会員のランチの集い、Japan Week餅つきなど、全て先生方、保護者の方々、幹事およびご担当の皆様のご協力で盛況に終わっております。ここに改めて感謝申し上げます。
任期まであと半年となりましたが来年もよろしくお願いいたします。

[:en]Looking back the year, I found religious terrorism spread all around the world.
Christmas is the day when the believers celebrate the birth of the only Son of God to this secular world as the embodiment of God’s love. In the other hand, love is not easy for us to idealize as it could be distorted into narcissistic self-love, partial love for one’s favour or craving desire. Before welcoming New Year, I would like to examine myself during Christmas holidays if I have fallen into self-righteousness or not.
This year so far, starting with Asian Football Cup, we had enjoyable events successfully such as the athletics meeting and the culture festival in Japanese school, the seminars organized by Support Link and various group activities like choir and golf, lunch gatherings of senior members, the Japan week rice-pounding and the used-book market.
All of those events are thanks to the teachers, the parents and guardians, the organizers, and the persons in charge. I would like to express my gratitude to all of you.
A half year is left for my term in Brisbane, I hope your continuous support would be extended to JCB next year as well.
